Quality Assurance Engineer Role:
Develop, establish, and enforce quality assurance standards, measures, and testing for software applications and products. Development of Silk Test object-oriented automated procedures to ensure software is stable and error free. Working as team lead as well as an individual contributor, will gather and analyze data in support of systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and automated scripts, as well as tracking defects and fixes in product development.
Major Responsibilities:
- Development of systems test plans for software applications and products
- Development of Silk Test object-oriented automated procedures from system test plans.
- Perform all appropriate testing to validate software performance and report project status
- Develop system performance benchmark tests
- Certifies that products are bug free and stable and works to develop, apply and maintain quality requirements that include the creation and execution of methods and procedures for testing
- Communication of and adherence to T.E.A.M. (Teamwork, Energy, Accountability, and Mastery)
Experience & Skills Required:
- 3 Years experience as a QA Engineer
- 2 years experience with Silk Test object-oriented development
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Great problem solving and analytical skills
Position Requirements:
- In-depth comprehension of Silk 4Test language
- Excellent understanding of White Box and black box testing techniques
- Understanding of SQL Server
- Knowledge of VB, C, C++, ASP, Dot Net
- Experience with Visual Source Safe
- Experience with commercial problem tracking software
